With Todd and Julie Chrisley set for early prison release, the Chrisley countdown begins
The Chrisleys will be released from prison sooner than initially expected. Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were initially sentenced to 12 and seven years respectively, will now serve less than a year each.
According to information from federal prison records obtained by Page Six, the father of five is scheduled to be released from federal prison camp Pensacola on Jan. 22, 2023, two years earlier than his original 12-year sentence. As for his wife, records indicate Julie is expected to be released from Federal Medical Center Lexington on Oct. 19, 2028, 14 months earlier than her original seven-year sentence.
The couple’s lawyer, Jay Sargent, told Insider Thursday that it’s clear Todd and Julie are exemplary inmates who received excessively long sentences. Todd is currently serving a 10-year sentence and Julie’s sentence has been reduced to five years. The sergeant also noted that he hopes to further reduce Chrisley’s sentence as new sentencing guidelines go into effect in November.
Allegation against Chrisley stars
Todd, age 54, and Julie, age 50, began serving their prison sentences in Florida and Kentucky in January. This comes two months after they were convicted of fraud and tax evasion. Prosecutors said the reality TV couple, who have been married for more than 20 years, lied to banks when they applied for loans using fake documents. They also claim that Julie provided false credit reports and bank statements while renting a home in California.

Furthermore, Todd’s former business partner, Mark Braddock, said that Todd, from the show, “Chrisley Knows Best”, had an affair with her and that they tried to blackmail someone into keeping the alleged affair secret. In June 2022, the Chrisleys were convicted and five months later, they were sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison.
The sentence makes clear that no matter how famous someone is, there are severe penalties for defrauding the American tax system, James E. Dorsey, who heads the IRS Criminal Investigation Atlanta Field Office, said in a press release following the November 2022 sentencing. .
