LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Kelce has finally revealed how he and Taylor Swift started their romance. Even though the Kansas City Chiefs player tried his best to get her attention during a speech at Arrowhead Stadium, Kelsey eventually made his affection known through someone in her inner circle.
“There were definitely people in her corner that she knew who knew who I was. [who said]: ‘Hey! Did you know he was coming? I had someone play Cupid,” he told WSJ Magazine in an interview published on Monday, November 20.

One day, Travis Kelce saw a message from Taylor Swift on his phone.
Although the 34-year-old wasn’t sure who the matchmaker was, he finally realized his chances had changed when he looked at his phone one day and saw a message. Kelsey, who didn’t know anything at the time, looked at his phone only to find out that the “Wildest Dreams” singer had texted him.
“[The Cupid] told me exactly what was happening and how I was lucky enough to get there [Swift] to lend a helping hand,” he recalls.

According to Pinkvilla, the two-time Super Bowl winner also said some members of Swift’s family helped him without even realizing it. “She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but… when she came to Arrowhead [Stadium]“They gave her a big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins took pictures… in front of my locker,” he said.

Despite speculation that the pop star and Kelsey’s first date was her first Kansas City Chiefs game in September, the athlete finally revealed that they had already had dinner before she showed up to the room. “When I met her in New York, we were already kind of talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and talk and go from there,” he said.

The power couple’s relationship has only grown stronger since then, as the football legend just flew to Argentina to watch her perform in Buenos Aires. Following the concert, during which she greeted Kelsey, Swift was filmed running backstage into Kelsey’s arms before kissing him on the lips.

The “Anti-Hero” singer was rumored to be in attendance for the Chiefs’ game against the Eagles on Monday night, but she will miss it due to a rescheduled concert in Brazil. The subject of the Miss Americana documentary canceled one of her appearances in Rio after one of her fans died from the unbearable heat.
“I won’t be able to talk about this on stage because I’m overcome with grief even as I try to talk about it,” Swift wrote in a statement posted on social media.
“I want to say that I feel this loss deeply at this time and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. That’s the last thing I ever thought about when we decided to do the Brazil tour,” she added.
