The competition will have a new format, with three different groups of singers. The semi-final stage of each group will be a battle royale. Wild card contenders will return to shake things up. A wild card will be added to each group.
Also, the “ding dong keep it on” bell is back, but only in the semi-final episode of Battle Royale. The judges can save only one contestant from elimination in these episodes and send them directly to the finals.
This means the bell can only be used once per season and only during the Battle Royale phase. It cannot be used in every group.

Yes, this season will feature 16 contestants, including anteaters, donuts, s’mores, hawks and hibiscus.
