They move to a stunning exotic location where they live in two magnificent houses, one for women and one for men. To get to know each other better, they engage in fun activities like traveling and parties. Either the men must choose a woman to stay with, or the women must choose a man to leave each week.
This continues until only one pair is left. The winning couple receives several wonderful gifts, including a house they can move into. In this show, single Quebecers travel to a picturesque foreign country in search of love. They each have their own luxury homes, one for men and one for women.
They have opportunities to build relationships and get to know each other better through a variety of fun activities, trips and social events. Men must choose a woman to accompany them. As the week progresses the ladies must choose a guy. The process is repeated until only one pair remains. The winning couple gets a variety of fun prizes including their very own new home.
On September 27, 2009, the sixth season of Occupation Double debuted. It was notable as it was the first time the entire production took place in another country – the Dominican Republic. Whistler, Canada hosts the seventh edition. For the eighth season they toured Portugal. For the ninth, they tour the United States. For the tenth, they toured Spain and French Polynesia.
After that, they toured Indonesia for season eleven, Greece for season twelve, and South Africa for season thirteen. Due to COVID-19, they decided to film the show in Quebec, Canada in 2020. “OD: Chez Nous” is the name of this season.
