Kamala Harris says she and Joe Biden need to ‘earn’ re-election

President Joe Biden’s 81st birthday comes amid ongoing concerns about his age dominating discussions surrounding his potential 2024 re-election campaign. Kamala Harris previously admitted that she and the president need to “earn” their re-election in 2024.

“We’re going to have to get re-elected, there’s no doubt about that,” she told CNN during a phone interview aboard Air Force Two after traveling to South Carolina earlier this month to formally launch her bid to run in the Democratic primary.

Harris said the Biden administration’s “really long” list of accomplishments for Black Americans makes it difficult to ensure that message is heard, the New York Post reported.

She told the publication: “In a way,” adding: “Actually, there’s probably a barrier in that the list is very long and we have to sort through what we repeat over and over again to make sure it resonates and you can really hear it.”
