Hulk Hogan’s son Nick’s fresh DUI arrest has opened old wounds for a 2007 crash victim left in a vegetative state.
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Nick Hogan, son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, was arrested Saturday morning, November 18, for driving under the influence.
He was arrested in Clearwater, Florida, the same city where 16 years ago he was involved in a horrific car accident that left his friend John Graziano with permanent brain damage.

Nick, 33, was taken into custody after allegedly refusing to take a field sobriety test, according to TMZ. He has been charged with a misdemeanor and has yet to be released from custody.

Nick suffered minor injuries, but John, a former US Marine, suffered a skull fracture and other serious injuries that required lifelong medical care. John was left in a vegetative state and requires 24-hour care for the rest of his life.
Nick pleaded not guilty to careless driving and was sentenced to eight months in prison in 2008. He also had to pay compensation to John’s family and perform community service.
At the time, Hulk told People: “[Nick] moved through life and, perhaps, did not particularly value things … “
“When it happened, he did a complete 180 degree turn… It was the best thing that ever happened to him. I’m not saying it’s good. But it didn’t just happen,” he added.
However, Hulk’s son was released from prison after serving about six months for good behavior. The Graziano family later sued the Hogans, TMZ reports, and the suit was settled out of court.
Debra Graziano slams Nick Hogan over his latest drunk driving arrest
Debra Graziano, John’s mother, told TMZ that Nick’s new arrest shows that he hasn’t learned a lesson from his past mistake and is still driving recklessly. She said Nick’s 2007 accident should be considered in his current case and that she hopes he doesn’t hurt anyone else.

“I can only pray that at some point in his life, while he still has a chance, he turns his life around. Until then, I hope no one else gets hurt,” she said, according to TMZ.
She also spoke about the daily pain of caring for her son, who was left in a vegetative state after the accident. “Every day I mourn the virtual loss of my son. I thank God every day that at least John is here at home with us,” she said.
Nick Hogan is the youngest child and only son of Hulk Hogan and his ex-wife Linda.
