FLCL Season 4 Episode 1 Recap

FLCL’s final episode 1 opens with Shin. He was listening to music from the music player. Suddenly, his father orders him to deliver sushi to the yakuza kumi office. Before leaving for the delivery, Shin encounters a strange man in a black suit. Next, we discover that Mr. Mayor likes sushi at this place. So he came here with security. Shin blushed when he saw a young woman getting out of his car.

Shin returned to the restaurant after his delivery and was shocked to find that Mr. Mayor was still there. His father asked him to help the customers. And as a good boy, he agreed without a second thought. We noticed that Shin was not good at making sushi. He struggled to catch a fish. His father specializes in making sushi and serves sushi to customers on time. You can clearly see the genuine happiness on the mayor’s face after tasting the sushi. He can even die for this sushi if need be.

The mayor went crazy eating sushi and asked one of the owners to serve him a drink. Shin’s father asks Shin to serve them beer. And he did it.

Haru-chan offers to help Shin serve beer to Mr. Mayor. Shin blushed badly seeing Haru-chan so close to him. It is a sign that our son is in love. We see Mr. Mayor and Haru-chan discussing work and future meetings.

Shin’s friend visited him at his father’s restaurant and asked him for a minute. He brings his orders and apologizes for his earlier behavior. He likes it and appreciates his help. They discuss the knife they brought for him, which will help Shin avoid any trouble while cutting the fish.

Haru-chan appears drunk and is causing trouble for Shin in the back of the restaurant. They engaged in lively conversation for some time. Later, we see Haru-chan deliberately kissing her. After the kiss, a single horn grows on Shin’s head. “He finally found out,” Haru-chan says, and leaves her. He leaves Shin confused as he is not sure what happened to him.

After this incident, we see Shin sitting by a lake trying to catch fish. Sonari came from somewhere to flirt with him. Mr. Mayor and Haru-chan head back to the sushi restaurant for another pleasant visit. They were enjoying their sushi. Seeing Haru-chan, Shin’s brow furrowed again. “What’s wrong with that woman,” he says. Haru-chan later causes significant problems for the mayor.

He replaced the sushi fish with a pen drive, and Mr. Yamaguchi ate it. It can stop the medical mechanical operating system. And it was all Haru-chan’s plan. Haru betrays Mr. Mayor and hits him on the head. The first episode of Season 4 FLCL ends with Shin and his friends fighting the mayor’s security forces.
