Deadliest Catch is a TV show about Alaskan fishermen. The show has had 19 seasons so far. Alaskan gold, sometimes known as king crab, is a unique treasure found in the Bering Sea. It is extremely useful but challenging to catch. There are new rules for ships and crews.
They have to work harder, under more pressure and in risky situations. Imagine huge waves, huge crab traps, bitter cold, and a constant reminder that this profession is incredibly risky.
Going out into the Bering Sea is dangerous. We watch as the workers work quickly to get a sufficient number of crabs and return them safely to shore.
The series follows these fishermen as they toil in bitterly cold waters to reel in fish and crabs. They aim to capture and sell adults.
The season has been quite exciting. The crew members have had some problems with their captain and have also come under fire for fishing in the wrong places. Some of them were injured while working.
